Happy Mudder's Day...

Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com

Just a quick post on what we’ve been up to…with Mother’s Day coming up, a few people have sent me emails saying they know it will be a hard day- thanks for thinking of me, and for your kind words…you know, it’s just another day to me…like I’ve said before, I miss Coleman EVERY day, and yes, the ‘Hallmark days’ come and go, and they do add a bit of sting to the wound, but the hole is there every minute of every day. I DO consider myself BLESSED to have been given the chance to be Coleman's and Caden’s mommy. The biggest blessing in my life has been the two of them. I’ve made my mistakes here and there, and will continue to do so I’m sure, but the love I have for them is undying- separation is temporary…it doesn’t mean I don’t ache to have Cman here…I do, but I’m choosing to THANK GOD for giving him to me for the time I had him here. He changed my life, even if he was here for a short time…yes, I wanted it to be longer, (My heart aches every minute for that) but I do thank GOD, one day it will be forever. I do my best to focus on that- every day. Please pray for ALL the mommies missing their kids.

Now Caden- well, HE makes sure I continue to smile…Oh how I love him…Here was HIS mother’s day gift to me:

Answer at the end of the post! :)

I consider Mother’s day a day to celebrate MY mom, so we’re making a quick trip back tomorrow to surprise her. What can I say about my mom? She’s in her 80’s and had me when it wasn’t common for moms to be having babies in their 40’s. She was a grandma before she had me, so I grew up with a niece a year older than me, a niece three weeks younger, and a nephew 2 years later who were like my siblings. I had three older sisters and two older brothers. My dad passed away when I was 13….
My mom has been there for me ALWAYS. She taught me what it was to love your kids more than life. She’s celebrated all my highs and seen me through all my lows. I can ALWAYS count on her. I know Coleman’s passing has been hard on her, because she’s not only had the pain of missing him, but has had to watch ME hurt too. My mom is THE sweetest person I’ve ever known. There just aren’t words to describe her! I love you Mom! Thank you for everything you’ve done and been for me! You’re the BEST!

We FROZE at Caden’s soccer game this morning- but had fun watching him.

OH-After the circus we went out to eat…look at what we saw as we came out of the restaurant! The BIGGEST BRIGHTEST rainbow I’ve ever seen! I wish I could have gotten back far enough to fit it all in a picture… Scott and I both commented on how BRIGHT it was…the pictures don’t do it justice. I think it was a MUDDERS day gift from above… :) and reminded me of the song, “His Favorite Color was Green”… and "The Rainbow Connection"

ps. Quick story about Caden…he wanted to wear cologne to school one day last week. He sprayed some on and said, “oh now the girls will be chasing me!” I asked him if he wanted them to…he said, “no….well….if they’re pretty I do! Especially this one girl who’s a first grader.” I asked him if she was pretty and he said, “OH- you have NO idea! But she doesn’t chase me, she chases my other girlfriend’s brother. He’s one lucky guy!” lol ahhhh the game of ‘chase’. I think we have a LONG road ahead of us! :)

Happy Mudder’s Day to all Mudders out there- Here are a couple of old videos I never get tired of watching. Seems like a lifetime ago...

I ALMOST FORGOT-***ANSWER TO CADEN'S DRAWING:
It says, “she makes me brownies”…the picture threw me off because I thought it was a band-aid for a minute…then he explained it was a picture of towels the brownies were sitting on, so they didn’t burn the grass….
cuz we’re having a picnic! :)

  2. Happy Mother's Day, Peggy!! You are one of the best Mom's I know!! Have a great day spoiling your Mom today! What did she think of the snake picture?? I can just hear Caden CRACKING UP about it! :o)
You talk about the game of chase, brought back a memory with my Colton! He was in grade school, I think 2nd grade, and was "dating" this girl. He came home and said they broke up. I said, "That is too bad, why?" Col says,"She said we were not spending enough time together." WHAT?!?!? WTH, is she talking about, you are in second grade?? That is WHAT I was thinking, this is what I said. "You are only in second grade, when are you suppose to spend time together? What did she mean?" He says, "I wasn't playing with her at recess." HAHAHAHAHA!!! Cracked me up! :o)
Enjoy your day with your family! Much love to all of you,
    Crystal
